HOW THE NUMBER SYSTEM WORKS: The number after the "/" is the tool blade width in millimeters (25mm = 1") The 1st number (before the "/") is the tool profile: 1 - a flat tool - either a chisel, or 1S is a skew. 2-11   - Standard gouges increasing in curvature - 2 is "almost" flat, 11 is full U 12 - 16   - V tools. 12=60deg, 13=90deg, 14=55deg, 15=45deg, 16=35deg Larger numbers - specialty tools - see item description and profile downloads. Other letters in the number: A = Spoon bend on the end of the tool F = Fishtail S = Skew E = single bevels (applies only on a #1 tool)D= Intermediate size tools (about 8" tool length, slightly smaller handles) B = Block cutting tools L = Lino Tools
